Advent 2011

The Advent Reflection for 2011 focused on Jesus, the Immigrant. Participants listened to the Gospel story of Joseph and Mary first on their way to Bethlehem and then on the way to Egypt. Then stories were told and shared of present immigrants from family members and from SLW who are involved in the Immigration Issue.

Rita Ramos, SLW (standing) pauses with members of her parish who came to share the day of reflection.

Mary Ann Zrust, SLW shared stories of the efforts

being made by various church groups to ease the

stress of recently detained immigrant people. Mary

Ann and several other SLW join in the vigil supporting

the detainees.
