Mardi Gras 2008
The colors, purple, green and
gold, welcomed over 200 guests to the “northern” version of Mardi Gras
festivity at the Cotillion in Palatine, IL on February 1st.
Highlights of the evening were the Silent Auction, wonderful music,
authentic Louisiana cuisine and a parade complete with costumes, colored
beads and wildly decorated umbrellas.

E. J. and Robby Cormier, New Orleans natives
E.J. and Robby have a long history of friendship and support. They have been exceptional volunteers for over a decade. E. J. has been the main chef for the outstanding events that featured “eating” whether it was Spaghetti Fest or Crescent City Food Connection.

This award is annually given to individuals who collaborate with the Sisters in pursuing and broadening their goals. Reverend Clyde Brooks has been significant in helping the Community come to a deeper commitment to dismantling racism. He worked with Dr. Martin Luther King and is currently President of the Illinois Commission on Diversity and Human Relations.
