Wintering With Christ January 23 brought about 25 people to the Center for a reflection called Wintering with Christ. Colette Fahrner, SLW facilitated the group through a series of prayer, sharing, body prayer and symbol making. Colette focused the attention of the group on one of the first places we learn of God, Earth and its seasons. Starting with sharing what the winter season means to each, the participants moved quickly into the deeper meaning of the season and the ways each meets God. For some, the darkness and slow movement to light is a part of the winter. For others, the quiet, the crunch of snow and the laughter of children make the season different. All left the reflection with a different view of the season and what to wait for in the next months.
