A Message of Gratitude from the Congregational Leadership Team

Count Your Blessings! We have so many challenges personally and on a global scale. Each day we struggle to find peace and meaning in the suffering we are experiencing worldwide. With this being said, maybe we all need to step back and focus not on our struggles but on our gracious God who continues to bless us in a multitude of ways each and every day. If only we have eyes to see.

Perhaps in the busyness of the day we would do well to stop a moment and count our blessings and name them one by one, as the lyrics of an old hymn tells us. When we do this we become aware of how the Provident God blesses us each day and our attitude of gratitude grows.

Here is a challenge in this season of Thanksgiving! Let’s make a conscious effort this autumn season to cultivate a spirit of thankfulness! Reflect on what you are grateful for. Replace complaints about our life with stories we tell others of how richly we are blessed by our God.

Let us speak life-giving words of appreciation.

Above all, let us take time to converse with the God of Hope who reminds us to be amazed at the promise given to our family, friends, and communities of a future filled with hope. (Jeremiah 29:11)

In the Living Word who continues to bless us with life-giving words of HOPE! –
