Sr. Dolores (Marie) Pfannes, SLW

August 24, 1917 - October 20, 1989

Sr. Dolores was born August 24, 1917 in Chicago, IL.  She received a History degree from DePaul University in Chicago, IL and a degree in Special Ed from Cardinal Stritch College in Milwaukee, WI.

Dolores was a person who was devoted to the poor.  She invested herself in education with a beautiful sense of balance, using her administrative skills in her many years as principal to support teachers and to find ways to make learning happen for children of all ages, with a special loving bias for the disadvantaged and those with learning disorders.

Sr. Dolores died on October 20, 1989 from complications of diabetes, liver damage and congestive heart failure.  She is buried in All Saints Cemetery in Des Plaines, IL.
