Sr.
Elizabeth Hebert, SLW
I wanted to
be a teacher, and the Lord took that desire and showed me a
unique way in which I could be a joyful bearer of the Living
Word! That Word has grown within me through my vowed life and
through my ministry as a teacher and a principal.
Jesus has
planted deep beliefs within me, which give meaning and purpose
to my life. Using the simple yet profound words, I believe,
I share some of my beliefs about religious life and ministry.
I believe in
the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of love, joy, and peace, who moves
among us today.
I believe in
the Sisters of the Living Word. Rooted in Jesus, the Living
Word, we are called to reflect and affirm the Word in today’s
world, to free the oppressed and bring new life.
I believe in
children. In their innocence and eagerness to learn, I see the
face of Jesus, as He must have been as a child in Nazareth. I
see families overcome everyday challenges because they are
supported by love. I also see families that are broken and
distressed, and for them, I have a listening heart and a helping
hand.
I believe in
all of you, the people of God, the Church. It is your faith
that will transform the world and bring about God’s Reign. I
believe that we are to be people of faith, hope, and love, and
that our love will last forever as we strive to reach out in
service.
