As a Sister
of the Living Word, I have been blessed in so many ways. I find
that I have a greater appreciation of God’s love and care for me
as He speaks through Sacred Scriptures. I love to reflect on
the readings of the Mass of the day. Here at Metairie Manor I
am able to share this with some of the residents as we meet
after daily Mass.
I also
consider close contact with the SLWs in the New Orleans area a
special grace, whether we telephone to give a message or meet
for a celebration.
About every
six weeks I meet with Sr. Mary Nick and a few of our associates
to share our thoughts on the spiritual reading we have prepared
in advance. I find this life-giving and a great experience.
Being a
Sister of the Living Word assures me that I belong to a family
which supports and cares for each other.
