Sister Jeannine Randolph passed on to eternal joy with our Loving God on August 8, 2025 at the age of 85.
Sister Jeannine Randolph, ne Marianne, was born to her loving parents, Ernest and Evelyn (Snyder) Randolph on January 22, 1940 in Chicago, IL. She was the youngest and only girl, with three older brothers: John, Darrell and Robert. She survived them all except for two nieces.
Sister Jeannine began her religious life as a sister of Christian Charity, in July of 1957 and made her final profession on August 21, 1960. In 1975 she transferred to the Sisters of the Living Word who were forming a new community. During her first years of ministry, she taught in Riverdale, Morton Grove and Chicago, as well as Iowa and Minnesota. She later ministered as pastoral minister from 1981-1987 in Louisiana and Illinois, and at St. Margaret Mary in Algonquin, Illinois. She was Director of Novices for the Sisters of the Living Word and ministered as a massage therapist for the last 18 years of ministry.
She spent her retirement at Resurrection Village Life Center for a couple of years. Later, as medical issues led her to seek assistance she lived at Addolorata Villa, Amazing Grace and finally at Resurrection Life Center in Chicago. She passed into eternal life on August 8, 2025, at Resurrection Life Center. Thanks to all the staff there who were so kind in their care. Sister Jeannine had a deep love for the scriptures and shared them with joy and enthusiasm with all. She will be missed by many.
A visitation for Jeannine will be held Monday, August 25, 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM at Mary, Seat of Wisdom Catholic Church, 920 Granville Ave, Park Ridge, IL 60068, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM.
