A Christmas Message
For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son,
so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish, but have eternal life.
John 3:16
Christ came to earth as a fragile Babe for one reason, to bring new life to a world in great need of God’s message of peace and love to all.
Christmas each year witnesses again to that fire of love that brought Christ to earth….and it is signified in the little things: the smile, the word, the very small deed that draws all of us into God who is love.
(Adapted from words of Sr. Annamarie Cook, Foundress of the Sisters of the Living Word.)
As Sisters of the Living Word our mission is to bring new life, to reflect and affirm the Living Word in a world that sometimes loves death rather than life. This Christmas season we ponder Pope Leo’s message of hope for our world as he urges all of us to let God’s love transform us “by opening our hearts to the word of God and to the face of our neighbor.”
Our hope and prayer this Christmas is that you, your family and friends may experience new life and the peace of the season. Blessings.
