Celebrating God’s Gracious Gifts in the New Year

Dear Friends,

It’s January 1st. Time for fresh starts and resolutions according to the social media around us.

But there is another way to celebrate this January 1. Many faith traditions celebrate this New Year as time to remember the gracious gifts of God and look for ways God will appear in the future. As Sisters of the Living Word, we will be closing our 50th Anniversary. Over the year we were reminded of all the wonderful people who have supported us so we would be able to bring the Word to others as well as all the events that have shaped the Living Word into the network we are.

As we move into 2026 we will continue to “focus our energies on situations where the Word of God needs to be spoken and reflected…and bring the light of Christ.” (Constitutions, #5) May you also experience the light of Christ as you meet the challenges and joys of this coming year. The Living Word Community will continue to hold you in prayer and thank God for all your kindness to the Sisters of the Living Word.
